Note that this crack does NOT enable you to play over Battle.net without the
CD, it's only for those who wish to play the game in single-player mode, or
over a LAN without the CD.


Instructions
------------
Copy everything from the root directory of the CD (actually, really all that
is needed is INSTALL.EXE) to a directory on your hard drive. (Approx 500MB)

Run W2BCRCK, then use RegEdit to edit

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft II BNE\War2CD]
and
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft II BNE\cdpath]

to the drive containing the CD data, BUT DO NOT INCLUDE AN ENDING BACKSLASH

Example - If your files are located in the C:\WARCRAFT directory you would
change the string value War2CD to "C:\WARCRAFT", but *NOT* "C:\WARCRAFT\"

If you can't find one (or both) of the keys above, try creating them and
entering the above info.

Close RegEdit.

Look in your Warcraft directory for a file called WAR2.INI.  If it exists
change the following line:

cdpath=X:

Where X: is the drive containing the CD data. Again, no ending backslash.

If WAR2.INI doesn't exist, don't worry about it.



For those interested, here's what the crack does

Edits file STORM.DLL, searchs for string consisting of:

66 81 F9 00 1F 74

Change the last byte (74) to EB
